Biography of Ronald B. House
Dr. Ronald B. House, is presently the CEO, and President of RB House & Assoc. Inc., and the American Disabilities Institute for Research and Training, Inc. House has developed several management simulations for not-for profit organizations, and has published research and management articles on the management of human service organizations. Dr. House has a new Community management simulation available that has replaced the famous "Cornell Game". In recognition of his work in continuing education he received the "Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005 from NYSRA.
Dr. House has a doctoral degree from Cornell University and thirty five years managing federal funded national and regional training projects in Community Rehabilitation, Independent Living, Supported Employment, Human Service Management and Technical Assistance. While at Cornell University he was on the faculty of the NYS School of Industrial and Labor Relations and the College of Human Ecology retiring in 1996 after thirty years at Cornell. In 1997 he co-authored a five-year grant on training for Community Rehabilitation Programs at the University of Buffalo. In 1999 he teamed up with the faculty of the University of Buffalo and the executive director of the Western New York Independent Living Center to compete for the first CIL consumer directed Research and Training Center. During the period of 2000 to 2005 he was co-principal investigator of the National Research and Rehabilitation Training Center-Independent Living Management Project funded by NIDRR.
Dr. House has been involved in providing training and continuing education since 1965 to the present. Dr. House has conducted international training courses in Canada and Europe and serves on state and federal advisory boards on disability policy. |
