The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) step-by-step citizens guidelines will also assist in guiding this process. Access to this free publication will be made available. The Federal Citizens Preparedness Guide will be explained and its use illustrated. The trainers will show participants a new edition of a model emergency plan that can be implemented into their organization. Workbooks will be provided to participants.

The instructors, will utilize the standardized National Incident Management System (NIMS) to provide practical preparedness training focusing on the tasks of Mitigation / Prevention, Preparedness, Response and Recovery.
